Dear Ms. Dortch: On Thursday, February 11th, 2016, representatives of an ad hoc 9-1-1 Governance and Reliability working group made a permitted ex parte presentation with respect to a consensus proposal previously submitted by the group in response to the Commission's Notice of Pro-posed Rulemaking in these dockets. The working group members and their affiliations are listed below, as are the names of those who attended the presentation on behalf of the Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau. During our presentation, group members provided the Bureau with an overview of our previous filing, which sets out the group's vision for collaborative management of roles and responsibilities in the evolving 9-1-1 marketplace. In response to questions from Bureau staff, we also provided our views on how the broader 9-1-1 community can help to define roles and responsibilities in a multi-vendor system environment by sharing contract terms and establishing best practices for monitoring and alerting between vendors and public safety agencies.
